Product Overview
The J42 meter service regulator is a well-proven and trusted design that meets current standards. It utilizes established principles of control dynamics combined with modern assembly techniques to deliver excellent performance in a compact, low-cost, maintenance-free unit.
Application & Operation
Application: The J42 is an angled type regulator designed for low-pressure domestic meter applications. It handles inlet pressures up to 350 mbar, features full lock-up capability, and is available with or without an integral Under Pressure Cut Off (UPCO). The UPCO version includes an automatic reset function that re-establishes supply based on system integrity. The regulator can be mounted in either a vertical or horizontal orientation.
Suitable Gases: Natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and manufactured gases.
Control & Adjustment
Factory Setting: The outlet pressure is set at the factory according to the customer’s specification, and the unit is sealed.
Field Adjustment: If adjustment is necessary, the seal can be broken to access the spring adjusting screw under the top cap. This design makes unauthorized adjustments evident. After adjustment, the top cap can be re-sealed (seal not provided).
