3. Important Handling & Installation Notes
Do not lift the valve by its handwheel or subject it to impacts.
Remove the flange guard attached to the flange face before connecting the valve to the piping.
Clean pipe/flange surfaces thoroughly and use a sealant-coated gasket suitable for LPG.
Tighten flange bolts diagonally and evenly.
4. Operation & Maintenance
Operation: Turn the handwheel clockwise to close, counter-clockwise to open. Avoid using wrenches or excessive torque.
Maintenance: Regularly check for leaks.
Gland Leak → Replace V-shaped packing.
Bonnet Joint Leak → Replace gasket.
Stiff/Squeaky Operation → Clean, lubricate spindle; if persists, replace V-shaped packing.
5. Disassembly & Reassembly (Summary)
Important: Ensure valve is depressurized before starting.
Key Steps: Follow diagrams. Typically involves removing handwheel, gland nut, internal packing parts (spring, gasket, V-shaped packing, O-ring), bonnet, and seat packing.
Key Reassembly Rules:
Clean all parts.
Replace all seals (gaskets, V-shaped packing, O-rings) with genuine parts. Lightly apply LPG-compatible grease to V-shaped packing and specified gaskets/O-rings.
Do not apply sealant to the main bonnet gasket (“24” for 15A-50A, “27” for 65A/80A, “14” for 100A/150A).
For sizes 65A-150A, apply LPG-compatible (high-load) grease to bonnet/spindle threads.
Assemble with the valve disc in the fully open position.
Union Nut Torque (15A-50A): See values in table (e.g., 15A: 140-180 N·m).
