Structure and Features
This is a floating full bore ball valve, featuring simple structure and excellent flow characteristics.
The seat ring is made of filled PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene resin) that balances well between air tightness and durability.
The stem seal adopts PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene resin) conical packing, which performs excellently in preventing leakage caused by packing wear and aging, and is designed with an adjustable mechanism for packing tightening.
The joint between valve body and valve cover adopts a double sealing structure combining fluororesin gasket and metal contact.
The valve can be opened and closed quickly and smoothly by simply rotating the handle by 90 degrees.
The valve stem is inserted from inside the valve body, thus preventing the stem from being blown out by internal pressure.
The open/closed status of the valve can be confirmed via the double-sided chamfer on the upper stem and the direction of the handle: when the double-sided chamfer and handle are parallel to the pipeline, the valve is open; when perpendicular, the valve is closed.
To prevent static electricity accumulation on the ball, a spring is inserted between the ball and the valve body to conduct electricity between them.
Notes
The service life of the seat ring shortens under higher temperature, higher pressure and more frequent switching operations.
In principle, the ball valve shall be used in fully open or fully closed position. Use at intermediate opening may cause deformation of the seat ring and result in seat leakage.
For applications with frequent switching in high-flow liquid pipelines or for flow regulation purposes, seat ring deformation and leakage may occur.
If abnormal pressure rise caused by liquid sealing inside the valve and pipeline is anticipated, please use a liquid-seal prevention ball valve.
If packing leakage occurs during use, tighten the packing flange: open the valve fully, screw in the gland bolts on the packing flange by 1/4 to 1/2 turn evenly. However, if excessive tightening makes the handle abnormally hard to operate, please disassemble and inspect the packing assembly.
