Product Description

Designed specifically to provide ‌pull-away protection‌ for LP-Gas and anhydrous ammonia transfer operations, including transport/delivery truck loading & unloading, engine fuel container filling and miscellaneous cylinder filling operations.

When properly fastened to the inlet end of the discharge hose, the valve automatically stops gas escape from both upstream and downstream lines in the event of accidental pull-away: excessive pulling tension triggers the valve to separate automatically, closing two internal back pressure checks, and only a few cubic centimeters of gas escape at the moment of separation.

Assembly & Maintenance

1. ‌Reassembly‌: A convenient means to safely relieve pressure upstream of each coupling half is required to enable reassembly. To reassemble, simply push the male half firmly into the female half until the retaining balls slip into the retaining groove, and check for leaks after reassembly.
2. ‌Regular Maintenance‌: It is recommended to maintain and safety test pull-away valves periodically to confirm they can separate properly when needed. Lubrication every six months is essential for normal operation. Dry nitrogen or other inert gas is recommended as the pressure source for pull-away tests.
3. ‌Long-term Storage‌: If the A2141 pull-away valve will be stored for a long time (such as for seasonal applications), it is recommended to spray it with high-quality rust-preventive machine oil and cover it to protect against moisture.
