Honeywell Elster American Meter RVP-FI Remote Volume Pulser
Designed for diaphragm and rotary gas meters with front-mounted registers.
Basic Information
The RVP-FI features a normally open (Form A) reed switch that directly captures accurate pulse output from the register drive, compatible with most diaphragm gas meters. Its magnet-activated reed switch maintains circuit integrity through dry contact closure, with output transmitted via an integral 12-foot cable. The cable also includes pre-wired leads for tamper detection and common connection, enabling convenient tamper monitoring. The device has passed stringent life and environmental testing, ensuring stable and reliable performance.

Installation Instructions
The RVP-FI mounts to the gas meter through the four existing holes normally used to attach the register box. The register and register box are then mounted to the pulser, rather than directly to the gas meter. Driven by an actuator that meshes with the meter’s register drive, it is compatible with 1/8″, 21/64″ and 0.05m³ drive units. When retrofitting to rotary meters, an additional mounting kit #93179K007 is required.
